Audioburst Joins Google and Volvo at CES 2020

Audioburst’s Android Automotive OS app included in Google exhibition at CES

Google has managed to capture the most news coverage and floor space at CES the past two years and plans to have a large presence again in 2020. While there isn’t a full amusement park sized ride in Las Vegas like in 2019, Android Automotive OS will make its first appearance.

CES attendees will be able to sit inside a Volvo XC40 Recharge, the automaker’s first fully-electric car, and enjoy Audioburst as part of the vehicle’s new infotainment system that will be made available through the Google Play Store. Powered by Android Automotive OS, the Audioburst app offers curated playlists, a personalized news feed, and voice search, all specifically tailored to the driving experience. The solution will be on display from January 7 – 10, 2020 at CES in Las Vegas at the Google Assistant Playground Central Plaza-1.

“Automakers used to compete primarily based on style, comfort, and performance. However, the battle for differentiation is increasingly shifting to the in-car driving experience. Consumers want personalization and instant access to digital services while on-the-go and that includes their entertainment and information options. At the same time, talk audio listening, which includes news, podcasts, and other spoken-word content has risen sharply over the past ten years. Audioburst’s personalized talk audio solutions operate at the intersection of these consumer trends and are perfectly suited for commuters. We are excited to show off our new app for Android Automotive OS with Google and Volvo at CES and demonstrate how the driving experience will evolve in the 2020s,” said Gal Klein, co-founder, and chief technology officer of Audioburst.
